Setting \(R = 1\ k \Omega\) and L = 1 nH for the circuit represented in Fig. 8.1, and with the knowledge that \(i(0) = −3\ mA\), (a) write an expression for i(t) valid for all \(t\ \geq\ 0\); (b) compute i(t) at t = 0, t = 1 ps, 2 ps, and 5 ps; and (c) calculate the energy stored in the inductor at t = 0, t = 1 ps, and t = 5 ps.
