Two particles, A and B, are in motion in the xy-plane.Their coordinates at each instant

Chapter 4, Problem 51

(choose chapter or problem)

Two particles, \(A\) and \(B\), are in motion in the \(xy\) - plane. Their coordinates at each instant of time \(t(t \geq 0)\) are given by \(x_{A}=t, y_{A}=2 t, x_{B}=1-t\), and \(y_{B}=t\). Find the minimum distance between \(A\) and \(B\).
