Numerical integration methods can be used in problems where only measured or experimentally determined values of the integrand are available. Use Simpson's rule to estimate the value of the relevant integral in these exercises.

The accompanying table gives the speeds, in miles per second, at various times for a test rocket that was fired upward from the surface of the Earth. Use these values to approximate the number of miles traveled during the first \(180 s\). Round your answer to the nearest tenth of a mile. [Hint: Distance traveled = \(\int_{0}^{180} v(t) d t\).]
