(a) Use a graphing utility to confirm that the graph ofr = 2 sin(/2) (0 4) is symmetric
Chapter 10, Problem 79(choose chapter or problem)
(a) Use a graphing utility to confirm that the graph of \(r=2-\sin (\theta / 2)(0 \leq \theta \leq 4 \pi)\) is symmetric about the \(x-\text { axis }\).
(b) Show that replacing \(\theta\) by \(-\theta\) in the polar equation \(r=2-\sin (\theta / 2)\) does not produce an equivalent equation. Why does this not contradict the symmetry demonstrated in part (a)?
