Following Proposition 3.4, show that div F(P) = lim V0 1 V S F dS, where S is a piecewise smooth, orientable, closed surface S enclosing a region D of volume V. (Take S to be oriented by outward normal.) The limiting process should be assumed to be such that D shrinks down to the point P.
