Union Negotiation You are on a negotiating panel in a union hearing for a large corporation. The union is asking for a base pay of $11.25 per hour plus an additional piecework rate of $1.05 per unit produced. The corporation is offering a base pay of $8.85 per hour plus a piecework rate of $1.30. (a) Write a linear equation for the hourly wages in terms of the number of units produced per hour, for each pay schedule. (b) Use a graphing utility to graph each linear equation and find the point of intersection. (c) Interpret the meaning of the point of intersection of the graphs.
