For the Colpitts oscillator circuit in Fig. P18.27, derive an equation governing circuit operation and hence find the frequency of oscillation and the condition the gain gmRL must satisfy to ensure that oscillations will start. Assume that ro of the BJT is included in RL and neglect Rf (i.e., assume Rf 0L). Simplify your final expressions by assuming r is large.
