Conservation of Energy can be used to show that when a mass m oscillates at the end of a spring with spring constant k, the period of oscillation is T = 4 m 2E/k 0 dx 2E kx2 where E is the total energy of the mass. Show that this is an improper integral with value T = 2 m/k.
