There is no such point, where the velocity and acceleration will be parallel to each other.

Because the acceleration is always downwards and the velocity has components which may or may not be parallel to the acceleration vector.

At the highest point, the only component is the horizontal component for the velocity. And there is no such moment when the only component will be the vertical one.

So, they cannot be parallel.
