Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors are a type of blood pressure medication

Chapter 3, Problem 93

(choose chapter or problem)

Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors are a type of blood pressure medication that reduces blood pressure by dilating blood vessels. Suppose that the radius R of a blood vessel is related to the dosage x of the medication by the function Rsxd . One version of Poiseuilles Law gives the relationship between the blood pressure P and the radius as P 4lvyR2 , where v is the blood velocity at the center of the vessel, is the viscosity of the blood, and l is the length of the blood vessel. Determine the rate of change of blood pressure with respect to dosage
