Here we have to find out  the  number of atoms present per unit cell for each metal.

Step 1

(a) Polonium, Po

The structure of Po shows a simple cubic unit cell. In simple cubic unit cell, 8 atoms are present in 8 corners of the unit cell and each atom is shared by 8 unit cells. Therefore, the contribution of each corner atom to each unit cell is ⅛.

Total atom per unit cell can be calculated as,

 8 = 1

Therefore the number of atoms in simple cubic unit cell of Po atom is  1.
