International trade affects all Americans. To understand how international trade affects you, describe what your world would be like if international trade were outlawed. You can do this by making a list of all the products you would not be able to purchase or whose price would go up dramatically without international trade. For example, the United States imports far more oil than it produces. If the United States stopped importing oil, it could not produce enough to meet current needs. Use a chart like the one below to record your thoughts, and then write a paragraph describing the impact of international trade on your life.
