Consider steady, two-dimensional, incompressible flow in the xz-plane rather than in the xy-plane. Curves of constant stream function are shown in Fig. P9122. The nonzero velocity components are (u, w). Define a stream function such that flow is from right to left in the xz-plane when c increases in the z-direction.
