Suppose that at a given point along a capillary, the following forces exist: capillary hydrostatic pressure (HPc) 5 30 mm Hg, interstitial fluid hydrostatic pressure (HPif) 5 0 mm Hg, capillary colloid osmotic pressure (OPc) 5 25 mm Hg, and interstitial fluid colloid osmotic pressure (OPif) 5 2 mm Hg. The net filtration pressure at this point in the capillary is (a) 3 mm Hg, (b) 23 mm Hg, (c) 27 mm Hg, (d) 7 mm Hg.
