Chapter 7, Problem 7.1

(choose chapter or problem)

A mixing basin in a sewage filtration plant is stirred bymechanical agitation (paddlewheel) with a power input W (ft lb/s).The degree of mixing of fluid particles is measured by a velocitygradient G given byG = BWVwhere is the fluid viscosity in lb s/ft2 and V is the basin volumein ft3. Find the units of the velocity gradient.
