Chapter 10, Problem 10.88

(choose chapter or problem)

An engineering laboratory experiment uses a triangularweir in an open channel to measure flow rate. The nominal weirangle is 90. In a certain test, the head of water above the weir was4 in. The uncertainty in the weir angle is 2 and the uncertaintyin the depth measurement is 0.05 in. Compute the flow rate andthe uncertainty in the flow rate.
