Air flows steadily and isentropically from standard atmosphericconditions to a receiver

Chapter 11, Problem 11.43

(choose chapter or problem)

Air flows steadily and isentropically from standard atmosphericconditions to a receiver pipe through a converging duct. The cross-sectionalarea of the throat of the converging duct is 0.05 ft2. Determinethe mass flowrate through the duct if the receiver pressure is(a) 10 psia, (b) 5 psia. Sketch temperatureentropy diagrams forsituations (a) and (b). Verify results obtained with values fromthe appropriate graph in Appendix D with calculations involvingideal gas equations. Is condensation of water vapor a concern?Explain.
