Professor Murray is just as good as it gets. He has a combination of multiple choice questions and short essays and long essays. You can actually write less than he expects and get by. Do well on the paper he assigns you and you will pass for sure. ...Continue reading

This was the second class I took that Dr. O'Brien teaches and he is fantastic. You better watch all the lectures, read all the materials and know your stuff for the tests or you are doomed but if you keep up and take good notes you'll be fine. He grades tough but real fair and his lectures are fun so do watch them. Only complaint is the text book. It is an online book that you cannot download or print from. THe Watchdox program also cause problem from time to time JUST GIVE US A BOOK! I like to OWN not rent a book specially for the 100+ price ...Continue reading

Her class is easy. She is just very bad at teaching and ensuring that you understand how the assignments should be done. To top it off she's a hard grader. Pages of notes. There will be a lot of theorems, but once you understand what is going on it gets easier. Study the concepts on the reviews like your life depends on it (because your grade does) and always memorize the proofs. His tests are very fair and he grades well. Definitely take him for intro to PDE. You spend every class taking notes from the board but his notes are really clear and have everything you need to know. Gives a review before the exam which is similar to test. If you can do that your good, as long as u have time to finish the test. Hes pretty nice just kinda boring/no class interaction. ...Continue reading

His test needs a VERY GOOD memorization on the reviews he gave. There was certainly no curve for 3363 Spring '16. Test Qs are reasonable but there's NOT enough time on the exams to answer questions in enough detail to satisfy his harsh grading. I flew through the tests but still didn't finish on all Qs. Averaged mid-80s and was probably one of the highest in the class, but still got a B. ...Continue reading

An awesome professor! Sometimes you won't get what he is saying in class but it would make so much sense if you reviewed his notes after class. Oh and he does post the notes after each lecture. Also, he is so helpful during his office hours, so make sure to take advantage of that. Just review the homework problems before each test and you will pass Also, his notes are a study-must.
