Professor Haaga is an awesome teacher. 10 quizzes, drops 2. Textbook is not required, but if you want to pass, you need the text. Attendance extra credit All I can say is STUDY STUDY STUDY! He gives you everything you need and he doesn't curve grades, due to everything that is provided for you to learn the material. I strongly recommended this teach, but take this class if you other classes are not tough classes. Good luck! ...Continue reading

Fantastic Prof. The course can be a little challenging if Logic doesn't come naturally to you, but Haaga is literally the best logic prof. 4 Tests + Final, drops a test. I nearly went to class and just saw the only videos and made A's on all the exams. But when I did go he was very easy to understand and was willing to help you when you needed. He also has great review sessions which tell you everything you need to know for the tests. Easy A if you try. plus there is extra credit ...Continue reading

Pan has a much different style of teaching than most people are used to, but he does actually try to help. He goes really slow at the beginning to get the core concepts. Unfortunately, then you have to rush to catch up at the end. Homework is 25% of grade and 61 to 81 is a B, 81 and up is an A. Go to recitation! He gives tests problems! ...Continue reading

never follow the book. expect you know everything and read the book all by yourself. Only hand writes on the blackboard, but not that clear. ...Continue reading

Amazing! If I'd taken a class from Johnsen my first semester instead of my last, I'd have changed my major to phil. He's funny, friendly, and very patient. Can't make a comment about 'interesting lectures' (logic is rather limited) but I can't imagine him being boring. Take anything from him! (The bad ratings must be from folk who hate philosophy.) ...Continue reading

This professor seems to care, I think he just lacks the experience. With time he may become a good professor. Read the chapters before class, things will come much more easily. Tests are tough but that is because the class teaches concept, but barely teaches how to setup to solve, and tests cover how to setup and solve. HW is long and hard, 3-4 hrs ...Continue reading

Lecture is just sitting through him trying to derive an equation, which was useless because we never learned how to solve problems that were going to be on the test and homeworks. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 3/5
definitely not a easy class, but not impossible. He is super enthusiastic !! so you will be laughing A LOT! but do your homework & ACTUALLY STUDY ! and you will make an A. Final is not hard, just accumulation of all you have learned. SO LEARN ! the only annoying thing is quiz every tuesday. but you will get use to it. HE IS A GOOD PROFESSOR THOUGH. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 1/5
Tests questions are harder than 90% of the homework problems. There is no point in going to class because he can't teach. He has to curve enormously because no one does well on the tests, but he makes sure only a few people get A's and B's. ...Continue reading
