Very good professor. Easy to understand, lectures were fairly organized. tests were sometimes tricky but his review sessions were VERY helpful. I would recommend him. ...Continue reading

Awesome class and very interesting. Sit in the front if you want to get a good grade. Only class I looked forward to going to. ...Continue reading

He's a really cool guy! ...Continue reading

Jeff is a good teacher who has a great knowledge of chem. He posts study guides with possible test questions and he picks from the study guide. Weekly online hw (easy), daily participation points online and the final is optional. Take him if you want to pass chem and not learn much. He is partially deaf but this doesn't effecting his teaching. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 2/5
New to teaching lower level chem and it shows but not too bad. Kind of all over the place but he is nice and has a passion for chem. Posts study guides for exams and about 75% of the questions are on the exam, so memorize the study guide and you're good. Labs aren't bad but not related to what you learn in class. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 2/5
Although Jeff had a hard time teaching 102 at the beginning he did improve over the semester. He was VERY helpful in office hours and wanted eveyone to do well. He did try to get points across through round about ways so you have to pay attention, BUT will clearly explain what he wants if you go to office hours! ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 1/5
It's an easy class and most people pass because he is pretty laid back. He doesnt explain anything though and just rambles the whole time during leture. I don't know anyone at the 102 level that knows enough to understand most of the terms. You will most likely pass, but you have to teach yourself everything. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 2/5
He is a horrible professor! I had him for 102 and did not learn a thing. He always seems nervous and has horrible personal skills. He should never be allowed to teach this class. A lot of times he would teach us things that had nothing to do with our tests. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 3/5
Ugh, this was not a fun class... organic chem is hard to teach for anyone, but Dr. Ronald is not a great professor in my opinion! If you have Q's that's what office hours are for, he's just trying to cover the material in the amount of time given. I loved the class and his funny stories. He posts lecture slides online, study guides every week and the exams are very similar to the quiz's. On top of anatomy, this class saved my GPA ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 4/5
I don't know why people say he's terrible. His lectures are very boring. However, he puts a lot of his quiz questions on the test... so study those! You also have the opportunity to earn 25 extra credit points! Study hard and you'll do fine. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 1/5
Easily the hardest class I've taken here at WSU. He does not teach anything, you have to teach yourself everything and he is no help when you try get help from him. I would also say he is unprofessional and does not want students to do well. Avoid if at all possible! Professor Ronald doesn't do anything but read off his slides and is uninterested in teaching. I have tried so hard in this class and I am still not passing. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 1/5
He obviously teaches as though you should know more about organic chemistry than you probably do, since it is only an introduction class. Also continually puts material on weekly quizzes that haven't been taught in lecture. Stay away from this professor if at all possible ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 2/5
Ronalds lectures from slides posted on Angel almost word for word, except when he goes on anecdotal tangents. He teaches material way beyond the scope of the text and test questions are often obscure and specific references to something glanced over in the lecture. On the other hand, tons of extra credit, basic homework assignments and he really wants us to get it, if that even matters... There are an inordinate amount of slides, and for exams, he wants you to know minute details, not overarching themes. Word of advice: Take Chem 105 instead. You'll learn much more. If you decide to take this class, memorize the quizzes! ...Continue reading

Literally the worst teacher I have ever had. He is so boring but go to class, sometimes he offers extra credit in class just for showing up. The lab quizzes are so hard but a lot of exam information comes from here. I got an A in the class but studied at least 25-35 hours a week. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 1/5
This was probably one of the most difficult classes I have ever taken. He is mean to the students in his class, he sometime gives 50+ pages of homework for the week. He gets mad when students ask him questions. And everything on the quizzes and tests is just what ever pops into his head! Do not take his class if possible!!!! ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 2/5
Worst teacher I have ever had! So be prepared for a rough semester because he is a horrible professor to have to learn from. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 2/5
He gives a lot of extra credit but in order to do well in this class you have to study. Tests come directly from quizzes and lecture. I have been teaching myself and relying on my TA to learn the material all semester. If at all possible avoid this professor. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 2/5
He promises lots of extra credit at the end of the semester but doesn't mention that you have to receive 100% on every homework assignment prior to be eligible for it. He does not offer study guide or reviews (though the TA's tried), and there is always a ton of homework. He does offer a ton of extra credit stuff so it helps your grade in the end, if you have tried on all his other assignments. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 2/5
This class makes me laugh and cry at the same time. He made us feel stupid for asking questions in lecture and read from the power points, which ultimately resulted in me not attending lecture for the last half of the semester. The final was RIDICULOUS and asked such detailed questions after telling us over and over to only focus on big picture topics. Do not rely on this. The final is unnecessarily hard and a majority of the questions are based on very minute topics barely covered in class. Be prepared. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 1/5
His lab quizzes are extremely hard, but you can get 80% on all his exams if you study the material from the quizzes. The lectures are very boring, the homework is hard and takes forever to do, the final was absolutely horrible. The only reason I passed this class was because of a curve in the grading, but do not count on that. I seriously would not recommend taking this if you do not have to. ...Continue reading

Great teacher. Sometimes unclear, but be patient, he tries. When studying for his exams, I would focus mostly on the questions from MasteringChemistry.com and the quizes-VERY Helpful. I hardly refer to the book (maybe twice this semester). Oh! and he gets SOME questions from lab, but not a lot. I would study the HW and Quizes first. Good luck! ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 1/5
Unorganized, scribbles useless material through lecture. Meier is definitely an example of that... He knows his stuff, he just can't teach it, AT ALL! For labs early in the week, he hadn't even gone over material that was on the quiz for that week. Sooo unorganized and just plain lazy. He didn't seem like he cared at all... ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 1/5
He is a really nice teacher but his lectures are unprepared scribbles that do not help whatsoever. Had to learn all material from other sources. Tests were relatively straight forward until final exam, which was an absolute horror. Has trouble teaching 100 level classes, should probably stick to 300 or higher. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 1/5
seriously he should not teach at all, he tries to explain things and just make it more confusing. He changes his mind often, so keep a paper trail of everything he tells you!! Don't take his class, he teach stuff b/c he likes it while it's not even in the textbook. Then he only went over it like couple times then it on the exam. DON'T TAKE HIS CLASS!!! ...Continue reading

She assigns eight page lab reports weekly, reads off her lecture slides, is rude to students that ask questions, and doesn't give you time to take notes on the lecture. I got an A but it took a lot of work. Don't take this class with her unless you have to. Maybe she just had a bad semester, though. Either way, not the best professor. Good luck. She talks so quiet in a lecture hall of 350 people, goes so fast, and her slides have way too many words on it. I just never go to lecture & teach myself the stuff. She doesn't care if kids understand & is RUDE. I could teach the class better. Getting an A right now but TA's have taught me ...Continue reading

Her lectures are so long and boring and all she does is reads directly off the slides. She talks way too fast, reads directly off of a powerpoint that has huge bullet points and goes through the slides way too quickly to take notes. Better off not going to class and just watching Panopto. The way she explains concepts aren't helpful and I find myself walking away from lectures frustrated.
