Best physics professor at UH. Her lectures are extremely helpful as long as you pay attention and ask questions. Skipping class will make things very difficult. Always available for extra help in her office. Respects students and grades fairly. It is a difficult class, but if you put the effort in, she will reward you. Final grade was curved. ...Continue reading

Dr. Forrest is the best professor at UH. Switched from McCauley's class just to get in hers. Very good at explaining the physical concepts. Derives the formulas while solving situations which makes it really intuitive. Highly recommend her. ...Continue reading

He is fair and homeworks go with the lecture. He gives quizzes once a week and answers are found in the powerpoints. His exams are straight from the quizzes. He always makes sure that you understand the material and is always available to answer you questions. Class is easy if you do what you have to do. makes funny jokes too. ...Continue reading

Very nice professor, talk a little too low, it's hard to hear and understand at time. Homework is decent and the virtual labs he assigns do help. Lectures do seem a bit long, but he throws in some humor every now and then. ...Continue reading

Pop quizzes are fairly straightforward-if it wasn't in the PowerPointlecture, then it won't be in the quiz. Weekly quizzes and hw. Tests are old quizzes combine. make sure to check the quiz after he hand them back, he's not the one grading, his former students did. I have to ask him to make correction to my grade most of the time. ...Continue reading

Basically the class average on all exams were a 45. A 50 was considered a C. He is not helpful at all. Must read book and learn on your own. Take anyone else but him. Workshops won't even help. ...Continue reading

Lectures - far cry from exams. Exams -far cry from the final. Study HWs for midterms. For the final, he told us to study the past three exams. To study for the final, I would look over lecture notes instead. Will force the grades into a bell curve. Reminds me of a seagull. Sit closer if falling asleep. Save time studying, take another prof. ...Continue reading

Questions: Lecture time is limited. He'll be quick if you ask him during lecture. But he makes himself VERY available for office hours and is GREAT there. Lectures: PowerPoints with lots of good information. 25% of test questions are nearly identical to sample problems in lecture and recitation PPs. If you understand HW, tests are easy. He cares. ...Continue reading
