Absolutely beautiful campus, great academically, & u aren't in the middle of nowhere like most college campuses. My only issue is with the lack of diversity in the student body(Mainly a female, white population). Definitely a party school with a lot of drinking. Lately Newark has had a lot of robberies. School is expensive and some of the staff is rude but those are a select few. Overall, professors are great, helpful, passionate. ...Continue reading

this is the best school in the world The academics are intense, UD was only denied Ivy league status by the official board because of the amount of partying here. Everyone (for the most part) is extremely nice and the campus is absolutely gorgeous. No matter what you're interested in, there is something for you to get involved with! Social life is awesome. It's the best school ever. ...Continue reading

As a first year transfer student, UD has exceeded my expectations as a school. Best school in Delaware. Its a work hard, play hard school. Parties are amazing and the academics are challenging but manageable. There is so much you can get involved in and so many people to meet! Main street is amazing and the campus is large but feels like home. You will most likely have a blast. Come to UD! Even though I'm paying full out of state tuition, I really believe it's worth it. My one and only suggestion is to GET INVOLVED. Going from high school to college is a hard transition. If you get involved, you will feel a million times better. And you wont be a loner (like someone said) if you don't party.dont listen to them ...Continue reading

A great overall school, but I don't exactly have an attachment to it. I feel safe on campus and the surrounding town has lots of restaurants and shops. The school sets up weekend activities that are pretty fun. However it has a pretty big party scene which I'm not into and if you don't drink, you don't really have a social life. The only downside of non-honors classes is that you end up being stuck in a large lecture hall with 300 other students. I left Honors because of the elitist attitude of most honors students and overly competitive environment. ...Continue reading

There is no words to describe this school. impossible to be bored. impossible to not meet people. impossible to hate Its a large campus with a lot to do, but if you don't go out and find things to do, you'll become a loner. But if you go out, people are really friendly. Its really safe, unless you're and idiot. Oh and don't download illegal music. THEY'LL CATCH YOU!! and suspend you from the network. :(( ...Continue reading

I didn't want to come at first but the people (the right people at least) make it worth it. Huge party scene if you're into that. Main street is pretty awesome, plenty of choices as far as restaurants go. Academics are great as well. Must see. I highly recommend the honors program for anyone even slightly interested. In the past three years, I have never had a bad professor. It's so easy to get involved on campus with research, assistant teaching, clubs or athletics. Main Street is awesome, and I always feel safe even living off campus. ...Continue reading

Greek life is really big here, lots of wanna-be preppy kids. Beautiful scenery, and theres so much to do. Great school spirit and the dages and parties are insane. Also the location kindof sucks because unless I drive 7 hours, here's no direct way for me to get there and home. There's a Megabus stop right on North campus though, which is good. ...Continue reading

Mancik takes attendance every class, regardless of whether or not its a lecture. She doesn't allow cellphone or laptop use, which can be annoying for those that hate taking hand notes. She doesn't use UD capture or post her powerpoints online so you really can't miss a single class. Offers a few extra credit things, and tests are ok. ...Continue reading
