Teachers are hit or miss. They should be suspended for their performance specifically the ineptitude exhibited in the indiscriminate method of increasing certain individual's salaries and bypassing performance evaluations and immediate supervisors. I would only recommend Upstate for nursing majors, because that's the main major this school is based on and provides excellent nursing education. But otherwise, stay away. It's cheap, but you'll hate it. ...Continue reading

This is the worst school ever. Nothing but students who couldn't get accepted into other SC schools. Just the worst, spoiled, entitlement-oriented students who are only interested in a jolly social life vs. a legitimate education. Just a joke of a student body, which says a lot about who is accepted into this so called university. ...Continue reading

USC Upstate is a good public school in a city of universities. The location is just off I85 and that is convenient. Most of the teachers here are great. The dining hall food sucks, but it's bearable. The on campus events are okay, but not always as much fun as they'd hoped. Overall a pretty good University. Take your classes in person with the teachers. computers are convenient but printers either don't work or are out of paper when you need to print homework. If you are leaving after the fall semester and before the upcoming spring semester, you will have to pay half of the room bill upfront or you will not be able to leave. There is no mention of the $475 per semester athletic fee on the website or on the tuition bill. It is a great school academically, but my graduation was a huge disappoitment. I literally have never gone back home for the weekend. This is my home I live here, I study here, I work in BSprings, so no matter what I'm doing, I'm always close or here. The professors here are great most of them are always going to help you succeed. Upstate is a decent school, but it just feels like you move from highschool to highschool. I transferred out to realize none of my professors did their one job. I'm so glad I left this school because I am actually learning now! In my classes the highest grades on tests would be 40-50 range. I have yet to meet one science major (Chem or Bio, not nursing) that actually liked it. If you do dont live on campus. The housing office are filled with the most careless people. I have never felt safe here. ...Continue reading

This professor is absolutely amazing! She is so so nice and all tests are online, and she nearly encourages you to download the powerpoints and documents to help you on the tests. She lectures very rarely. You briefl my review the class material, and you mostly just discuss the news and media about anything pop culture. She is genuinely amazing. There is no class when you have a quiz. She provides the powerpoints on BB . She gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit but you shouldn't need it. She usually gives extra credit for coming to class on Fridays. Sweet lady and extremely helpful, only negative is that she is tough on grammar. ...Continue reading
