I love this school, everything is impeccable at this campus. Most teachers are working in the field they are teaching. My accounting teacher is a CFO and Personal Finance is a CEO. Also teachers from other Colleges teach there part-time like from Franklin, OSU, Devry. ...Continue reading

The best thing about CSCC is the small class sizes. Many low SES people here, lots of thugs. Everyone smokes right next to the doors, which is just nasty. Can't wait to get out of this awful place and to OSU where I belong. If you're looking to transfer to one of the many other colleges with huge libraries and lots of specialists, they've probably got a program for you. I understand the technical and certification programs are a good value as well. ...Continue reading

Abortion protestors are always on campus. They make you jump through so many hoops and when you're done jumping through the hoops they tell you to then there are more hoops to jump through. I regret coming here, and have been told that if I went to a different school I would have been graduated quicker. ...Continue reading

Though you will be saving money, which I understand is a big deal when your in college, I have to say that CSCC was a lot more stressful than it needed to be, especially when trying to transfer. I would gladly recommend CSCC to everyone, and I have. I have needed to call the school six separate times to find out information no had provided to me that I absolutely should have known. Financial aid department is a disaster. This school does not care about their students at all. ...Continue reading

Love going to CSCC. But the food could be better. Great for those getting a technical degree or for those loading up on GEC's for a bachelor's at Ohio State or other 4-year college. However, after awhile you'll definitely want to get to OSU or wherever you are going. Gets tiring not being able to see the light at the end of the tunnel ...Continue reading

It's a small campus, so it is easy to find your way around. I have not had any issue cause I am paying cash my tuition and books, so I do not have to deal with any department that handles loans. I feel safe. Good quality education. CSCC has campuses around Columbus (helpful). My only complaint: They should offer more HYBRID classes at the Dublin campus! Everyone is pretty nice around the campus and every professor I've had is helpful and very understanding. The food is okay and a little expensive for its quality. I've made a lot of friends here but never that close of friends, just following one another on social media. Good resources and has quite a bit for being a community college. ...Continue reading

Everything about this school is off topic. Going to campus is like going to the mall or a bus station. Just a dirty place with a bunch of people smoking at every entrance to a building. There are also a million vendors trying to sell you something, including a hippie selling tie-dye (I saw that the other day). Cheap credit hours, but the extras cost a ton. ...Continue reading

The only good thing about CSCC is that it is inexpensive and believe me, you will get what you pay for. do not expect to get any advise from the advisers, they will tell you one thing and be completely wrong. you are better off not seeing them. also if you have a problem with a class or grade, do not talk to head of the department, they never get back to you. you will not get ANY HELP FOR YOUR CARRIER ...Continue reading

It's nice to go here to save money for gen ed classes for two years, but the biggest problem is that the staff is terrible. It's stressful depending on if you are a full time student (me) or not. People are nice here and depending where you are some faculty are rude. I think they need more than the orientation/tour of the school for students to get students involved. The math lab in Davidson is dirty and very small. The financial aid people are so rude they do not want to help you with appeals or anything else. There has been a few teachers that are really good not just there for a check. Save your money and go some where else. Cscc a waste of time! ...Continue reading

Main campus is ok. I can never connect to the internet and the food is ehh. Depending on your major you can learn a lot. I feel like my first two years were kind of a waste though, the work was way too basic and it was below my level. I wasn't allowed the opportunity to test out of any technical courses though which sucked. I will say the cost is great though. ...Continue reading

Good school. Honestly, I thought I was gonna hate it, but it turned out to be really great. I've found a computer lab to get my homework done in, and there's usually only a few other people there, so it's really quiet! You just have to make the best of it. Plus, it saves money and I want my parents to be able to retire! My only issue is the outside common areas often times, there are homeless people walking around posing as students who nag for change. Also, there are religious or political demonstrations in the middle of the campus, which make me uncomfortable. Such things are better suited for another venue. ...Continue reading

Good school, most teachers are very good. The whole school cares for one another. Sadly no one seems to view it that way until you're there. It talked bad about because its a community college but it's a lot better than what anyone says. I usually take hybrid or web classes so I can't always say what is happening on campus. I came here right after high school and have had a lot of good experiences. It's a lot smaller then the Columbus campus, but the staff, and students all make the best of it. Food is good, a bit pricey, but everything is. The only down side is that there are not many social events here. I'd better ask my parents. The receptionists are not really kind but well it's okay. I think a lot of people think poorly of it because it's a community college but a lot of people don't realize just how many things they have to offer around campus. Definitely, always allow plenty of time for parking. It would be nice if they could build another parking garage. Sometimes you have to wait in long lines for Financial Aid, and for the bookstore, but they are very helpful once you make it. The Computer Lab gets crowded sometimes. I like the school and it works well for transfer credits Delaware campus is very nice, but only one building. Columbus campus is somewhat out dated depending on the classes you take, and the area is a little sketchy. If your looking for the social part of college life, you better look elsewhere unless you have friends attending with you, most people are older with kids. The internet is confusing to figure out on your own, it took me almost two semesters to figure it out, and I'm still not sure if I have it right (If you can't tell, I'm technologically impaired lol). The campus is not too big so it's easy and nice. before choose the class, you must check the professor's background on this website or you will regret it! the foods are okay but cafetaria is so small and just 1. overall I love it tho. ...Continue reading

CSCC is a good place to get an education for more affordable price. I had this problem as I was a returning student and had problems passing one class. I was pretty much told that there was nothing I could do. I am now going to OSU but I wish I could have gotten more GECs ...Continue reading

Grounds and common areas are about what you would expect from a community college. It's cheap, located in downtown Columbus, and they have some of the best instructors and faculty members I've ever met. Columbus State is truly a GEM if you do what needs to be done! Great teachers here everywhere you look. ...Continue reading

Other than that, it is a great campus. ...Continue reading

Columbus State is a utilitarian school. good if you don't have the money to pay for a(n) expensive college, but if you have the money to pay for school go to another COLLEGE in columbus . they need to have more FUN events as well as change their policy on a LOT of things . The staff want to be there, and have a passion for their job, sure there are some bad teachers, but there are far more great teachers. Not the best neighborhood, especially after dark. ...Continue reading

You will pay penny's on the dollar to get an above average and sometimes exceptional education. I used it for the first 2 years of my bachelors, a lot cheaper than a university. Parking is sometimes a hassle if you have 8:00am classes. I liked most of my teachers. There are some very nice study areas if you know where to look in the library. Go Cougs! ...Continue reading

Cost is great though I've had a handful of fantastic professors and taken some interesting classes but the course catalog offers little diversity. The advisors are very helpful in offering transfer information and career advice. ...Continue reading

I personally have been to the cafeteria and order food and I seem to get cold food quite often such as French fries and chicken tenders. DON'T COME HERE. i was trying to get into the nursing program, but the half of the advisors don't know what they are talking about. Do not go there. I got into a program and was mislead by the main person in charge. He said that I didn't need a math class and later said I did. Now the school wants me to take 50 more credit hours , because I haven't been back for so long. And all I needed was Math. I have a total of 150 credit hours and only needed 60 when I left school.
