I love NKU. This is my second year here and I have had nothing, but great experiences. Some people say it is boring, but if you are here to actually learn something then you won't be bored at all. However, if you like to party you may want to chose a different school. If your going to school just to major in becoming an alcoholic, UK would be better and EKU would be the best. ...Continue reading

Nku is a wonderful school that offers a great education for much less cost than other similar schools, I've found their staff and professors to be extremely knowledgeable and experienced in their respective fields. Very homey environment. Absolutely zazzed to be here. Campus is extremely easy to get around. The negatives would be the parking and dealing with Financial Aid. .Be prepared to call them numerous times until they get it right. ...Continue reading

NKU is a growing campus that improves everyday. My adviser is always eager to help me with any problem I have. The campus is very pretty on a clear day. I rarely dislike any professors. As far as social life, you get what you give. If you aren't willing to try new things then you will be miserable- just like any other school. Tuition is fair. ...Continue reading

Northern Kentucky is ok. There's nothing to do here and I go home most weekends. The classes are really good and my professors know my name but the social scene is non-existent and it makes for a rough time. The food is mostly closed on weekends and the ones that are open will make you run to the bathroom. Glad to be leaving. ...Continue reading

Professors are either good or horrible and don't expect anyone to go out if their way to help you succeed I've visited friends nearby at UK, Purdue, OSU, iu. Nku doesn't even compare. Night life is comparable to that of a large high school. I would not recommend a person to select NKU as a first choice. Dont make the same mistake I did, go to a real school. I've enjoyed my time here. The only thing I would change is the time of the events-I am a commuter, so staying on campus till 6 or 7 at night waiting for an event to start is horrible. & also, many of the campus jobs either screw you over with waiting for backg. checks or aren't open, even when they say they are. it's a bit annoying. ...Continue reading

I love NKU, it is affordable, and has a lot to offer The campus is small enough to get from one side to the other less than 10 minutes for most classes which makes it easy to take back to back classes when you have a busy schedule. They are investing what seems to be a lot of money on expanding the school and opportunities for everyone that goes here. The campus is extremely dull. The tuition is not outrageous, which is the only perk in my opinion. The advisors are more likely to give you the wrong information than the correct. ALWAYS find out the answer for yourself in their handbooks or online. Professors also give out misinformation. I have never had one tell me the same thing about my program. While there are events that go on, it hard to be interested in them. I lived on campus and there is virtually no campus life on weekends or really even during the week. Only complaint I have is that parking is usually hard to come by after around noon, especially on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They are updating campus which is increasing its appearance. NKU is what you make of it. Small, but everything is mostly newly build besides the original buildings. Wifi can suck in the older buildings. Greek life is smaller than your typical schools. Not many people are very talkative. Nku is considered a Commuter university. Many people come and leave because of busy schedules. Over all it's a solid campus It's not great. But it gets the job done and for me that's really all that mattered. Oh, but Greek life sucks. Don't come here for Greek life. Like we have it, but it's not great. ...Continue reading

There isn't enough sitting areas to get to know people around the living communities. The teachers aren't the best. its close to cincy so thats nice ...Continue reading

Northern Kentucky University is my home. Like all colleges there are junky professors, but the ones that are good, are the professors you rave about years to come. The small class allow you to get to know your professor and network. I think one of the best parts about it is that I get to have personal relationships with all of my teachers. They truly inspire me to push further and know exactly what my personal needs are. ...Continue reading

The campus is small and not well known, but it's a really great college. If you're in a club or Greek life, you'll have a lot of social opportunities. The faculty is great. I'm a psych major and the professors and advisers are amazing! I like that the classes are fairly small, I find the faculty to be extremely personable and passionate, and I think NKU offers some great opportunities to its students. I really like it there, and I recommend it! ...Continue reading

Great campus overall. The class sizes are range from 10 to 35 tops. All of the professors are there to help you and care about you succeeding. Only complaint I have is that parking is usually hard to come by after around noon, especially on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They are updating campus which is increasing its appearance. Most of the professors are effective and a majority of them are nice. Small class sizes. Only social involvement opportunities seem to come with Greek life. ...Continue reading

Awesome campus! Private education for a public school price. I luuuuuuuurve NKU! The campus is becoming less concrete and more green. Business department rocks and I haven't had any trouble being an involved student. Because its more commuter based you just have to look harder for the opportunities to become involved. Haven't had parking issues overall great school. ...Continue reading
