bsu is what u make it. it's very clique-y & ppl gossip A LOT so choose your friends wisely. the food options suck if ur used to home cooked meals so ur better off bringing food or buying it elsewhere. if u don't drive be ready to take the MARC or the bus. the buses stop running around 7:30pm (too early). the professors are also hit or miss. If your have to take out loans andor pay from pocket, don't waste your money! ...Continue reading

I enjoyed my 4 years at Bowie State. There is literally two nice clean building on campus (Fine Arts Building) and the student center. The food is horrible. They need a food court or better food options! When I mean diversity, I don't just mean race&ethnicity. I also mean: if you're a person looking for diversity in activities and student interests this may not be the campus for you. But if you're just looking to get your degree and focus on that than its not too bad. ...Continue reading

There's two types of people at Bowie (professors, students, administrators) those who will break their back to help you succeed, and those who will break their back to keep you unsuccessful. I love my HBCU. It is what you make it. Food isn't the best nor the worst. Upgraded facilities that the students funded. Admin is poor, gives you the run around. The area is great, a lot of near by attractions(food, gas, shopping, etc). Security has gotten better, but like most campuses some things do happen. You'll have a good time here at BSU, just make sure you know what your priorities are when it comes to school work and being social, this isnt high school. Anywhere you go you HAVE TO SOCIALIZE to have fun. The school is what you make it! If you dont participate in things and MAKE it fun then you will be bored. Triple the size of the school and you have a Premier University I choose it because of location, class sizes, cost, and major - Computer Technology. I think most professor's are knowledgeable and good teachers who honestly care about what the students are learning and doing. However, there are those you just CAN'T take. So check reviews - most are honest & spot on. It's fun if you make it, you get opportunities if you make it, but there's a small chance that you will make it. I love my HBCU but I sometimes regret coming here ...Continue reading

Nothing to do and the food is awful It's a shame that I pay so much to spend money just to park in designated parking. Financial aid people are so oblivious to what their job is. I always have issued with my questions being answered. The older buildings are outdated. I would not recommend this school. Instructors do what they want when they want to, a lot of them anyways.
