It's in the heart of Cleveland, so expect the crimes of Cleveland too. They do things to help students that my previous school would have never done. Right at the center of Cleveland, can walk down catch an indians game, then head to class. Great food places surrounding CSU, a la Slymans, East 4th Street. Also, area is really starting to take off. Campus is on the rise and would def recommend. #TheLand ...Continue reading

I went to CSU for 1 year and then transferred out. Commuting has landed me in two accidents this semester alone, and my car is now totaled. Construction- constant and AWFUL. Dorming is a waste of money- there is absolutely no nightlife near campus unless you're 21. You have to take the trolley off campus to get a meal with decent service because campus staff is so rude. ...Continue reading

If you are looking for the College Experience this is not the place for you. Great school if you're commuting and working . Terrible school to live on campus and have the college experience. After attending here, I'm pretty sure I'm going to look back and regret even going to college. CSU tries to be one of the big schools and fails due to lack of student interest, lack of support, lack of endowment, lack of funding, lack of social appeal. I'm very glad I'm transferring out to finish my Master's program. Undergrad is all I could bear. People go here because it's cheap andor they couldn't get accepted anywhere else. Want a true college experience? Kent, BG, even Akron are all better options in the area. John Carroll and BW are better respected for the commuter crowd. Class of '14. I am Non traditional student so I do not get involved with campus much. Living downtown is sick, although at times the wind of the lake is insane. The school is growing each year and the president is very big into expanding campus as much as he can. The athletics teams are not he best, the basketball team is about the only exciting one but the volleyball games get more fans. All in all I love it! there are a lot of things to do around campus, as well as of campus. Most clubs meet during the day, during class, which is pretty inconvenient. The greek life is fairly small, 4 fraternities and 4 sororities, and they actually care about philanthropy instead of partying non stop. Campus is usually dead after 5pm. ...Continue reading

There are tobacco free campus signs all over the place but is isn't enforced. People smoke all over the campus. Some of the professors are terrible, but overall it is a good school if you're not looking for the typical college experience. ...Continue reading

Obviously the school has it's flaws but I feel any school would. The price you pay is an excellent bargain for an excellent education ...Continue reading

CSU is a pretty decent university. Being on campus at night (or sometimes even daytime) puts you at risk for assault and/or robbery, it happens on a weekly basis here. ...Continue reading

Cleveland State University is the place to be! The professors here are really great compared to the other schools I went to. Being in the city gives students a chance to do internships and co-ops with the hospitals and businesses downtown. Great community of people! it has the downtown feel but youre in a safe environment. Go csu vikes ...Continue reading
