    Idaho State University is a nice school cozily located in the town of Pocatello. I'm getting an education and I'm a parent so extra curricular activities are not on my agenda. There are quite a few clubs available for those that do have time. Overall, ISU is a great college to attend! I think Isu should invest in some of the land a make a parking lot closer to the actual school buildings so the 10000 attending can fit in to classes in what is now 2500 parking spaces ...Continue reading

    While Idaho State is an exceptionally safe campus, it's also located in a very religiously reserved and conservative town. The sucky part is when you see your tuition going to a mansion for the president, or a crappy looking sign, and not towards a new library or lowering tuition. ...Continue reading

    ISU is located in an amazing town and has some legit programs, but also has some major issues. Typically small class sizes. You will feel safe at all times on this campus. The rendezvous dorms are amazing by far what i loved the most. The only problems I have experienced was slow Internet when living in the rendezvous. The parking is horrible.     ISU is a neat school. I'm not a fan of the desert, but the campus is nice and green. Turner dining has good food if you don't have any allergies or specific needs. As a vegetarian, it's hard to eat there. Everywhere else are wonderful places to eat. They have a lot of clubs, but not a variety. It has a great theoretical safety program. ...Continue reading

It recently came out into the open that the polls that faculty took of our opinions, and when they asked us questions about how we thought ISU could improve, all the faculty turned in to whomever was overseeing the project.     Quiet school. There is NOTHING to do. And NOWHERE to make new friends. Campus is TINY and feels like a community college. If you're not Mormon or if you are Mormon and just don't fit in with Mormons (like me) you won't make many friends. I wasted 3 years here and I regret it.     Tigernet is so slow, I wish the library stayed open later, and Idaho State has a bad reputation after this semester with all of the racism occurring. The food is campus food, the dorms are a little outdated, but the classes are small which is great. Campus is small. Fabulous place to go if you like being outdoors.     I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR ENGINEERS Limited to very few places to eat. Sketchy city, even more sketchy people. The library and professors are good though. Such a lack of professional ethics on a rise among young people. Rare politeness, and common sense.     Enrollment dropped while I was there. The best thing is seeing 20 squirrels and crows in a single tree which is pretty funny. Not much for clubs. Many nontraditional students are not interested in clubs and other traditional college activities. So, opportunities outside of class is weak. Seems to be tension among faculty and administrators about direction of university. Pocatello is lame but lots of outdoors stuff in the area. ...Continue reading

While trying to find employment after graduation, have regretted that decision at least a thousand times. I am an intelligent person with very specialized degrees.     Very poor city, blue collar, trains noisy, squirrels like nuts they are more socialized than people. Turner food is a little sketchy sometimes. People aren't as social as you would expect from a college. But ISU has very non-traditional students (i.e mothers, fathers, elders,) I do love this school however. Its a wonderful place if you are looking for a smaller school but still want a lot of opportunities. The campus is very clean and well kept. The food is not the best in the cafeteria but the restaurants around campus are wonderful. This university provides a variety of degrees and colleges to suit your needs. ...Continue reading

    Very affordable degree (maybe most affordable university in the country), work hard place, located in blue collar town. Although it isn't the largest school, it is nice as it is situated in a larger town with a small town feel. It has some of the best professors to offer, along with a couple bad eggs. It is overall an adequate university. I haven't met as many people as I thought I would. Campus is very easy to get around, but parking for the most part is horrible. The professors are good, internet works, plenty of quiet places to study, the faculty is more than accommodating, free tutors, and they have free food at least once a week.     Pocatello has a very high Mormon population. Good school for health occupations, accounting, Masters in Taxation, nuclear, and school of technology programs. It's best to attend schools with good budgets, but will graduate soon, and go to grad school out of state if necessary. Needs more class offerings and times. A mixture of some goodbad professors. Food is averageexpensive- great desserts. Get involved with campus clubs to have social connection with people. Theater movies in a 300 seater. Campus housing mixture of nicepoor places.     I chose to attend ISU for the cost and location. Just like everywhere else it has its share of good and bad professors. You'll get nickled and dimed every semester for every possible thing you can imagine. Tuition increases by about $300 every semester for no reason.     I love this campus and the people I surround myself with. A lot of friendly students, professors, and coaches. I am always finding people around the country that have some sort of connection with ISU and that is always really cool to me.     Good school with lots of opportunities. If you are LDS, lots of people you know. If not, not much happening. Still, more LDS people going to BYU-I. Students here are older and not into campus life. There are clubs here but few people participate. Enrollment has been dropping. Lots of problems with administration. Several faculty I know have left. Pocatello is not muc Foods good, housing is pretty good. Locations big and spacious, somewhat of a walk depending on where you are at. Not over crowded, most people are polite and well-balanced. Professors, listen to others advice or online resources, like this one. Advisors are there to help. Have fun! #isu ...Continue reading

    Moved into campus Apartments, and my apt. never cleaned. I took 12 hrs to clean it myself. I ask for compensation and ISU Housing said there was none- they didn't have time to clean it. Other campus housing good places to live, but others its poor place. It's wise to use rate my professor to choose the prof. wanted. Get into clubs for social life. It is just everything surrounded it is not anything special. Living is cheap, being on a meal plan kind of sucks though since the food in the commons is not that good all the time. Nice gym. Sports are not that good here being a D1. You will be able to graduate in four years here! ...Continue reading

    I didn't think I was going to enjoy my time here but I have loved it. Be active in something and try to meet people. Pocatello isn't exactly the most entertaining place but there are still things to do. Parking is not the best. Professors and staff are usually pretty helpful and nice. There are a few helpful advising places as well. Idaho State will make you interested in studying there are awesome professors and advisors who are always willing to help. You will never regret to enter ISU. However, the weather here isn't that great and may cause depresseion. ...Continue reading

    I didn't think I was going to enjoy my time here but I have loved it. Be active in something and try to meet people. Pocatello isn't exactly the most entertaining place but there are still things to do. Parking is not the best. Professors and staff are usually pretty helpful and nice. There are a few helpful advising places as well. Idaho State will make you interested in studying there are awesome professors and advisors who are always willing to help. You will never regret to enter ISU. However, the weather here isn't that great and may cause depresseion. ...Continue reading
