J-School is top notch, opportunities are everywhere, classes aren't too difficult but in no way a breeze either. It is very affordable and the Professors are very interested in your future! For the most part, the students are friendly, and it is a safe environment away from home! There are tons of Organizations to get involved in, so you'll never be bored in between studying and classes. ...Continue reading

Mizzou's enrollment has taken a significant hit the past couple of years due to an unfairly diminished reputation. However, from day one, I felt at home here at Mizzou. Good school with many great opportunities. Met many interesting people. Beautiful buildings. Travel and parking can be a pain, but overall okay. TONS of school spirit and pride. Greek life is everywhere. Big but BEAUTIFUL campus. Lots of walking. Hard classes, expects a lot from you. Easy to get lost in the crowd. Absolutely love the school and city of Columbia. best school ever, amazing people, great teachers for the most part, and lots of ways to have the best college experience I came with zero friends and now have a great friend group here and it feels like home. My least favorite professor. The man was narcissistic as heck and taught using his own, poorly written book. The book!! Oh boy the book. This man provided the WORST foundation for ps minor. ...Continue reading

I did not have any trouble with Tracie, besides the fact she will not answer her emails. She's really energetic in the classroom so you never fall asleep and we got to do a fun video project. Be sure to go to review sessions too. ...Continue reading

The worse class I've ever taken not because of the subject matter, but because of the teacher. I tried to ask her questions and she either never responded or she responded with a lot of different answers. Both were NOT helpful. Her study guides are: be able to write 3-4 questions on all the central ideas, be able to answer all the study questions, and know (insert long hypothetical essay prompt here). I hate this... I would spent 5 hours on my homework and would get a C even when I did exactly what she asked. When I emailed with questions, it took her forever to reply and she seemed mad. She gives F's on the test and says not enough info when I would study so much ...Continue reading

She makes dull topic interesting. However, for tests you have to know EVERYTHING covered in that unit's lectures and be able to apply it, so it's difficult. Don't skip class- she takes attendance quizzes on days when she notices less people in the class (also you'll need everything covered in every lecture for the tests...) She really knows what she is talking about and the course is interesting. Study the test files and you will be fine. ...Continue reading

He taught in a way that kept your attention and made you learn what you needed to. He is very knowledgable and has a lot of experience in the field. His class is super easy if you read the textbook since he co-authored it. Also tests are usually curved. Highly recommend him. He's very friendly and approachable, and extremely knowledgable. He gave E.C. on 7 different occasions when he thought it looked like many people weren't there, so go to class. Great guy, highly recommend for Psych. ...Continue reading

Tracie Gibson makes the class way harder than it actually is, material covered in class is pretty basic and the tests are almost PHD level. Half of the time it seems as though she has no idea what she's doing or saying, the tests are hard if you're only used to multiple choice, and if you don't study 10+ hours, you will most likely not do very well. 10/10 would not recommend. ...Continue reading

Despite what other posters have said, it is possible to pass this class. Rambles through lecture without being clear at all about anything. Tests on things not described in lecture or in the book. Homework is useless and has wrong answers. Only way to pass is to go to supplemental instruction where the TA actually teaches the material. In class she only teaches what she wants to teach and doesn't explain it very well if you want to pass you'll have to read the textbook. The homework has wrong answers in it so even if you know it you'll miss points. She tries to be fun but it's annoying and wastes time. Reminds me of high school ...Continue reading
