Great school for me. Anyone who doesn't get involved in anything will not have as good of a time. I don't understand why someone couldn't be happy here with everything that's going on and with the ocean being a five minute drive away. GET INVOLVED! ...Continue reading

URI is a great school and has a lot of clubs and programs. It is really focused on greek life which could be good or bad depending on the person. One of the biggest downfalls is how much money they try to get out of you, and the lack of parking spots so tickets are common. ...Continue reading

This is a science school and if you go for the right major it can really pay off. The environment here is great and the people here are friendly. Don't mind living here at all. Food here is alright, could be better, so many things to do here if you are involved. The grounds always look nice. Some of the buildings are old, and have been maintained over the years. There are a lot of athletic people, the gyms are usually busy. Every week there is something new: sport games, free hotcoco, recitals, pep ralleys, etc. ...Continue reading

School sucks regardless of where you go, however the social aspects is great because of the diversity all over campus and the open-mindedness of the students. This school is simply amazing. The location is great we are about 15 mins from the beach and 45 mins away from downtown RI where the malls are. The people are welcoming and are ready to THINK BIG just like the motto says. And there are plenty of Opportunities for students. It took me a year to get in the groove, but now that my classes are more specific to what I want, I really love it. ...Continue reading

Greek life is a MUST Nothing all too special. Campus is pretty to look at but very sprawled out (sneakers are a must!). If you're a transfer student, get used to not fitting in and a bad first semester thanks to the terrible transfer system here. Enrollment services is a joke and so were ALL my professors my first semester here. ...Continue reading

URI has great science programs, and it's not too far from the beach or Providence. It's big enough so that you feel independent and small enough so that you don't feel completely lost all the time. The food is good, the location is good - it's all around awesome. ...Continue reading

A rich learning environment that encourages me to think big. I know some people who are unhappy but it's what you make it. Regardless of what people say, you do NOT need to be in greek life to make friends. There's a club for pretty much every interest you may have. Get involved and you'll make friends. The location is also great. 10 minutes from the beach and a half hour from providence ...Continue reading

It's alright. The staff seems to be dumber than most of the students in terms of common sense, which is scary considering how unintelligent most of the students are. The food is also downright terrible most of the time, and referred to as looking edible rather than good on their best days. Great for engineering though. Most professors are super nice, friendly, and laidback. The students are really nice and friendly as well. Not sure if I've even met a rude person here.
