I would say a lot of people don't give this school enough credit. I wish students had a little more school spirit, i.e. attending sports events, and creating a fan atmosphere. Many complain, but that's not a singular problem that happens at any school in America. Make the best out of your four (or more) years - it goes by fast. ...Continue reading

This campus is alright but nothing special. I am going to graduate soon, but if I had known more about UHart I would not have chosen this school. Keep your eyes open there are better schools that you can attend. They try to take your money anyway you can. You don't really get your money's worth. Strict policies. It is a great school but there is not a lot of activity on the weekends. There is no real nightlife. And it's hard to get around without a car. It was mainly boring until spring fling. Too much homework - Poor due date coordination between teachers. ...Continue reading

A decent school but not for everyone. Meh Campus, with limited food selection and fairly few clubs. Not a bad school to start off with first time being away but I'm still not returning to Uhart. Professors do their job well but some don't care. Uhart isn't the worst but u kind of have to get lucky for how ur experience will be. The school is small, people are clique-ish. U gotta put yourself out for sure or just hope u meet people you vibe with. There isn't much to do on campus, there are events but few and far between with minimal clubs. The campus is beautiful and well kept but without a car you're kinda stuck. The food is hit or miss. Some professors are professional, some not so much. There isn't really anything exciting about the campus itself, especially freshman living. Doesnt have a college atmosphere. Alot of the people going there already know each other. Food was alright but they closed commons at 7 which sucked. Campus always flooding and freshman dialogue was the most pointless class I have ever taken. After spending two weeks at Hartford I knew I'd be spending the next year trying to achieve the best grades possible to transfer. The school has absolutely no school spirit, and it's very depressing. Every new person I met here would respond 'eh' or 'it's alright' when I asked them how they liked the school. University of Hartford is what you make of it It's subjected to the same lame hierarchies as all-women's library. For anyone who has worked as public-student worker you know. The dorms are OLD, the asking price is high and for a prestigious college it's quiet dead. The IT department is like a living joke and they expect students to be on hands and feet. I don't live on campus so I can't really comment on living there, but keep on top of your academics and finances. *Most* of the professors i've had thus far were good. The food isn't great but considering your at school, you cant complain. Living areas are, depending where you live, either great or amazingly disgusting. ...Continue reading

UHartt has a bunch of wonderful schools such as The Hartford Art School and The Hartt School! If you want to have fun, you will have fun. If you stay in you room and don't try, you will not have a good time. Be open, be friendly, be yourself. You will be fine. Also, if you don't like the way things are going, no one is gonna change it for you. Its all on YOU! ...Continue reading

There's free tutors and professors are required to have office hours every week. But sophmore year I made the decision to join more clubs and It was the best decision. By far the hardest class I've taken. We had a quiz or exam every week, as well as papers she harshly graded and a 20 minute long *group* presentation just days before finals. Her quizzes and exams are nearly impossible to do well on unless you memorize the textbook cover to cover, and her poor grammar makes it hard to understand the questions. ...Continue reading
