Amazing school, genuine community of kind students who work hard. This is especially true if youre a science major. Beautiful all around with a very spunky student body Everybody is extra friendly here regardless of whatever makes you, you. I c despise going home for the breaks. Burlington is the greatest college town with anything you could possibly need it want. From beaches to mountains to 3 shopping malls within a 4 mile radius to Church Street ( words cannot describe). ...Continue reading

Burlington is a great town, professors are good and there is plenty to do on and off campus. If I had to describe my first year in 5 words they would be ice cream, skiing, mountains, peace. Everyone is kind and happy and the campus is so welcoming. Burlington is the best college town you could ask for, with a ton of amazing food and concert venues! If you don't put in the effort you won't get what you want. Tons of opportunities everywhere to make friends and find things to do on campus. The UVM students form a pretty tight community, it almost resembles that of real Vermonters. ...Continue reading

Good University all around. It's a pretty great campus it takes about 15 minutes to get from one end of campus to the other if you're walking and it's a short walk or bus ride to downtown Burlington. There's always construction going on which makes taking certain short-cuts impossible. You can definitely blend in and stay in or go out all the time so it's great for anyone! ...Continue reading

Molly is the best! I had her for BCOR 011 and 012 and I absolutely adore her. She's funny and tries to make entry level bio as fun as possible. She is willing to change test format and class activities to help you succeed and she is VERY accessible outside of class. This being said it's still a moderately tough class (it's bio) ...Continue reading

Make sure you make a friend in the class so that they can send notes if you dont show up (She doesnt put notes online). GREAT CLASS, EASY A+ For each concept in class, she will try to give a good example to help you to understand. And she also so happy to help you after class. However, this class also really need you to pay attention, it is not difficult, while also not supper easy. If you study, she will be a best professor for you. ...Continue reading

Dr. Yonan is the most incredible professor that I have had so far at UVM when it comes to Bio. She posts the notes online, so the lectures are clear and understandable. The book can be accessed in the library so you don't need to buy it. This class is pretty easy, and a lot of it is common sense. The crime scene investigation and forensics is really interesting. Attend class, and you're likely to do good. Her lectures are clear and concise, and they give you everything you need to study for the quizzes and exams. She made the class funny and interesting, which is good because some professors can completely kill interesting classes. As long as you go to class (clickers) & pay attention, you should do ok ...Continue reading

Larry was a nice guy, extremely boring. Larry is the cutest little man ever but is a super tough grader when it comes to the essays on exams. Literally would write novels and fill my essays with so much information and I would get a 70. Out of all my classes this semester, I worked the hardest for this class and did poorly. The class is boring and much time is taken up by him talking about personal life. All that is necessary is to read the book and show up for the exams, as the lectures are boring. ...Continue reading

Professor Almstead is the most caring and helpful professor I have ever had at UVM. She's a really good lecturer, and goes above and beyond to make sure her students understand the material. She has a cold exterior but once you get over that she's one of the most caring professors at UVM. Definitely take this class with her. Molly is the best! I had her for BCOR 011 and 012 and I absolutely adore her. She's funny and tries to make entry level bio as fun as possible. GREAT CLASS, EASY A+ For each concept in class, she will try to give a good example to help you to understand. And she also so happy to help you after class.
