Great place if you take advantage of the opportunities offered. Although it has its fair share of negative press, I do not regret coming here for an instant. There are so many opportunities to be involved and that really makes the campus seem smaller. Lots of different classes, 5 College Consortium, great food, great people, etc. OIT has some issues with the wireless, but its getting better ...Continue reading

Coming to Lowell from very far away, I was a little skeptical, but I was happily surprised. College then back in 2010 as an online student. Love the place although it is too spread out though b/w two campuses, but I have made many lifelong friends there. I wouldn't trade it for the world- killer sense of pride as UML is well known in the tech industry. Go Riverhawks! I'm taking honors college classes and they're pretty good. Has a reputation for partying but that's only if you choose to live that life. ...Continue reading

My freshman year is about to be finished and I have loved it here so far! Those programs are challenging and engaging, especially in the upper level courses. There are a lot of low level students in your freshman classes, but most are weeded out by your sophomore year or become English majors. I have no regrets, UML is a good deal for the education you receive. ...Continue reading

Disappointed. This illusion goes away once you're enrolled and learn where your money is going and how you're going to be treated. The education here is still worth it though. Just do yourself a two favors, stay away from the dining hall, and escape student housing. People love to call it zoomass or the zoo, but they really need to relax because it's definitely not the campus it used to be. It's definitely easy to find your own home within the school because it's so big, but don't get too caught up in all the noise from people overhyping the school. Best thing here is food. ...Continue reading

UMass is a bigger public university, so you definitely have to advocate for yourself to find the spaces and people for you, and it's worth it if you can do that. The parking is a joke, don't make me pay for parking if I'm not guaranteed a spot. The material covered in this course is very basic, so I found it difficult not to be bored in class. Prof. Williams does a fairly good job of making it interesting, though. Definitely do go to class, she gives spontaneous writing assignments that are easy but count towards your grade. Don't buy the book, you don't need it. ...Continue reading

She's awesome. So funny and laid back, and she makes lectures interesting. She teaches the material clearly, and the tests are easy as long as you pay attention and take notes. She drops the lowest EXAM grade. Would definitely take again, Highly recommend her as a professor. However, textbook is not needed, even though she says it is at beginning! ...Continue reading

Davy is bar far one of the best professors I've had since at UML. She is really easy in the way that if you have a brain and a little common sense you should be able to pass no problem. This maybe the only writing class I've ever liked. Shastri got us to watch a horror movie for a writing class. Say no more. A very sweet prof and the only teacher who said good stuff about my writing. Also never had an English teacher explain things so well. The 1-1 meetings and detailed feedback on every paper make me feel like I've really gotten good. Highly recommend. ...Continue reading

Makes for an excellent online class. ...Continue reading

Taught MIE 310 Dynamics. Ton's of errors in problem solutions, and even lecture at times. Ineffective at communicating his thoughts, and spends more class time joking then actually teaching.
