FSU is a pretty good school. Regardless of that, there are many opportunities here and chances to make connections. After completing my first year, I feel like it could have been better. There are a lot of orgs on campus, but many of them are not quite welcoming. I often thought about how different my life would be if I went UF. The classes were pretty intense for me as well. Maybe sophomore year will be better. ...Continue reading

Florida state university is a great school. I don't have any of the problems that my friends who go to other schools complain about. Sure, the wi-fi is slow and parking can be a pain, but that's all I really hear people complain about. Ok so Goldsby does not teach. He's a good guy and all but if you don't have a very, very solid chemistry background, the riddle booklets he calls exams will make your grade drop quicker than the noise level in the class when he cracks a corny joke in lecture. ...Continue reading

If you don't like writing, you are going to hate this class. His lectures are kind of ridiculous but I appreciated his real world knowledge. This class makes you think and you will have to write A LOT but just don't procrastinate and you'll do fine. Your grade isn't only based on exams which is nice, and there's actually a way to get out of the final! We watched youtube everyday, and everything was interesting. His class is an easy A, but you have to go to class. I got an A- because I didnt turn in a few assignments. Test are very easy, he gives you all the answers. ...Continue reading

She is honestly such a great professor! I'm a business major who was never interested in History but taking this class was the best choice I made to satisfy the history/x/w requirements. Hochwarter is a pretty interesting dude. He is not a bad teacher at all but the subject matter isn't anything too difficult. However do not underestimate his tests. They focus very much on the details in his study guides (i.e. numbers). I am currently taking him for summer but wish I would of taken a different teacher. He constantly gives you assignments that are based on helping him do research for his own research program. Gives a bunch of busy work when it comes to writing. Id say about 20,000 words within 6 weeks. ...Continue reading

This class is a huge pain and it could be a really interesting subject if he didn't waste everyones time by making meaningless lecture videos. All you learn is useless factoids. The behavior of the professor is bordering on DISRESPECTFUL considering that many students (LIKE ME) are paying a lot of money and taking out loans for our education here. P.S Don't miss anything. Messed up a submission and it cost me 10 - 20% of my grade. Why? I'm not sure because I didn't learn anything. Idk what the point of this class is. His lectures drone on with basic knowledge then you have to write about how it relates to your life. This class may be good for those who haven't found themselves but for a mature adult... not so much ...Continue reading

Any complaints on this professor come from the fact that people are just flat out lazy. However, grading criteria is a bit vague and since everything is due at the end at once, it's a big difficult to get feedback on how well you are writing your assignments and if they meet expectations. Quite honestly, this should be renamed Creative Writing. Don't fall behind! Overall an interesting class. He is very engaging. ...Continue reading

You have to write over 30 (1-2) page papers for this class. The entire class is based on Youtube clips and random statistics. If your a management major, do yourself a favor and avoid this class at all costs. I endured 3 classes before I decided to transfer into a class where I would actually learn something i.e. Perrewe. She's great and actually teaches about Org. Behavior The content is easy but you lose a couple brain cells listening to him. I have not learned one thing in this course. The only thing I've gotten better at is writing enough useless words to meet a word count. ...Continue reading

Kinda funny in a dorky way. He offers random iclicker questions that really boost your grade so there's an incentive to attend class. He lists information to study for each test so it's not hard to do well. It's a great class to sit and really absorb the information, versus scrambling to write down tons of confusing notes. ...Continue reading

Dr. Robbins is the best professor ever! She gives amazing notes and those are the only resources you are allowed to use, so attending class is a must. Those people obviously skipped a lot or suck at writing. Great lecturer and makes class super interesting. Make sure you have great full notes She is an amazing professor and makes you actually want to go to class. Her tests are really hard but if you go to class and study you will do fine. She provides many opportunities to save your grade. She explains the material clearly. So if you're not good at math, make sure to come to class. If you read and actually do the worksheets she provides, then you'll know exactly what's on the quizzes. She's surprisingly funny. She's also very approachable. A great teacher overall. Recitations were mandatory, however EXTREMELY helpful. They drop the lowest test grade, and 3 lowest recitation grades, and she allowed a full page, front and back note sheet on the test. Very easy class ...Continue reading

Woodyard literally told us what the material was on the exam was going to be. Classes are lecture based, and he will eventually walk you through some of the questions before the exam. Professor Wooland was a great mathematics professor for students who hate mathematics. 3 attempts at homework. 2 attempts at tests. PRS for extra credit everyday. Go to class and it is impossible to screw up! I am one of those students. While I can say it was my fault I did not receive and A, I easily could have had I went to class. The idea of the class is to make you THINK on your own. It is hard to succeed when the instructions are so bare bones. Grading is very subjective and there is no feedback. A chunk of your grade is determined by pestering people for his research. And I really do mean pestering. Good sense of humor, though. The other reviews are totally valid and true, as well. However, you start to formulate some of your own opinions, thoughts, and ideas. Gives some people an idea of how ridiculous the workplace can be instead of the theoretical textbook version. It's a very realistic class in this sense. ...Continue reading

It doesn't matter if you sick, or prolly even a car accident. Dont take him. The course consists of paper after paper with over 19,000 words at the end of the semester.
