Walking 1: Amos walks 800 ft along the sidewalk next to a field. Then he turns at an angle of 43 to the sidewalk and heads across the field (Figure 6-4e). When he stops, he looks back at the starting point, finding a 29 angle between his path across the field and the direct route back to the starting point. Figure 6-4e a. How far across the field did Amos walk? b. How far does he have to walk to go directly back to the starting point? c. Amos walks 5 ft/sec on the sidewalk but only 3 ft/sec across the field.
