I can relate Professor Jody Gittell analyzed workers in the health care system. Specifically, she was interested to see if relational coordination (communicating and relating for the purpose of task integration) makes a worker more resilient in response to external threats that require a coordinated response across multiple roles in the organization. She rated whether physicians and nurses were selected for teamwork qualities, on a scale of 0 to 2.
