Water quality. An environmentalist group collects a liter of water from each of45 random locations along a stream and measures the amount of dissolved oxygenin each specimen. The mean is 4.62 milligrams (mg). Is this strong evidence thatthe stream has a mean oxygen content of less than 5 mg per liter? (Suppose weknow that dissolved oxygen varies among locations according to a Normaldistribution with = 0.92 mg.)
