The law of conservation of mass states that mass is an isolated system is neither created nor destroyed by chemical reactions or physical transformations. According to the law of conservation of mass, the mass of the products in a chemical reaction must equal the mass of the reactants.

(a)In this question, it is given that, 12.8 gm of Na, reacts with 19.6gm of Cl and 32.4g of NaCl has formed.

Na(12.8g) + Cl (19.6g) ---------> NaCl (32.4g)

12.8 + 19.6=32.4
