Draw the free-body diagram of the beam which supports the 80-kg load and is supported by the pin at A and a cable which wraps around the pulley at D . Explain the significance of each force on the diagram. (See Fig. 57 b .)

The significance of each force acts on the beam can be given as,

A load of 80 kg is hanging at the right end of the beam. Due to this, the weight of the load acts in the downward direction. The tension force acting along the cable. The support reactions are at the left end of the beam. There is a vertical support reaction at support A. And a horizontal support reaction at support A.
