Why do clouds often form above mountain peaks? (?Hint:? Consider the updrafts.)
Step 1 of 3
Mountain cause cloud formation when air is rises because the mountain is warmer than surrounding air and this will cause air to rise.once air rises it follows the same process discussed above for cloud formation. When air rises, the air will cool.if their is enough water vapour in air and is enough cooling, the water vapour will condense to form water droplets that will become a cloud.this will occur at higher elevation or above the mountain peaks.hence clouds often above the mountain peaks.
