Use the matrix approach to fit a straight line to the data in the accompanying table, plot the points, and then sketch the fitted line as a check on the calculations. The data points are the same as for Exercises 11.3 and 11.66 except that they are translated 1 unit in the positive direction along the x-axis. What effect does symmetric spacing of the x-values about x = 0 have on the form of the (XX) matrix and the resulting calculations?
