The plate is subjected to the two forces at A and B as shown. If \(\theta = 60^{\circ}\), determine the magnitude of the resultant of these two forces and its direction measured clockwise from the horizontal.

The resultant force can be solved using the triangle law. Construct a triangle as shown below. Connect the tail of  force to the head of  force. Note that components are in tail-head connection while component and resultant are either tail-tail or head-head connections.
