Angry bees My grandmother once told me that the color red

Chapter 1, Problem 1.23

(choose chapter or problem)

Angry bees My grandmother once told me that the color red makes bees angry. Heres a method Ive designed to test her claim. Ill select half of my stu dents (by drawing names from a hat) to wear red clothes and the other half to wear white clothes. Th en Ill turn a bunch of bees loose in our classroom and record how many times each student is stung. (a) Is this an observational study or an experiment? Why? (b) What variables are recorded? (c) If students wearing red clothes are stung much more oft en than students wearing white, can we conclude that the color red causes bees to sting more? Why or why not? (d) Comment on any fl aws you see with my methods.
