How much allowance? According to a USA Today Snapshot, about 24% of children aged 5 to 12 receive more than $20 a month in allowance. A pie chart presented in the Snapshot shows that 13% receive $5 or less, 23% get $6 to $10, and 39% receive $11 to $20. (a) What would be a reasonable question of interest in this case? (b) Do you think these results were obtained using an observational study or an experiment? Why? (c) Who are the individuals in this study? What variable was measured? (d) Th ink: why dont the four percents given add up to 100%?
