Chapter 19, Problem 65

(choose chapter or problem)

For the reaction Kp = 4.56 * 108 at 260 C Kp = 2.15 * 1011 at 200 C CO1g2 + 3 H21g2 CH41g2 + H2O1g2, K 25 C. H p 2 NO1g2 + O21g2 2 NO21g2. K 100 C p Kp = 1.00? K 0 C? p Kp +57.2 kJ mol = 0.113 H = -1 N2O41g2 2 NO21g2, H K 448 C 350 C. p = 50.0 H21g2 + I21g2 2 HI1g2: determine by using the van t Hoff equation (19.15) and by using tabulated data in Appendix D. Compare the two results, and comment on how good the assumption is that is essentially independent of temperature in this case.
