(choose chapter or problem)

(Requires a calculator that can evaluate powers.) For many drugs, it is important to adjust the dose for individual patients. A patients body weight or body surface area (BSA) is sometimes used for estimating drug dosages for children and for estimating the starting dosage for chemotherapy for cancer patients. BSA is difficult to measure directly, but it may be calculated by the following formula based on height and weight.8 BSA 71.84W0.425H0.725, where BSA is measured in square centimeters, W is weight in kilograms, and H is height in centimeters. A patient weighs 180 lb and is 6 feet tall. His dosage of a particular drug is 15 mg/m2/day (that is, 15 mg per square meter of body surface area per day). What is his daily dosage in mg?
