(choose chapter or problem)

Solve each system. In recent years, the number of newspapers printed as morning editions has been increasing and the number of newspapers printed as evening editions has been decreasing. The number y of daily morning newspapers in existence is approximated by the equation y = 12.6x + 716.1, where x is the number of years since 1997. The number y of daily evening newspapers in existence is approximated by y = -23.8x + 806.3, where x is the number of years since 1997. Use these equations to determine the year in which the number of newspapers printed as morning editions was the same as the number of newspapers printed as evening editions. (Round to the nearest whole number.) (Source: Based on data from Newspaper Association of America)
