The sample average spreading rates (ft2 /gal) for the five brands were x 1462.0, x 2512.8, x 3437.5, x 4469.3, and x 5532.1. The computed value of F was found to be significant at level .05. With MSE 272.8, use Tukeys procedure to investigate significant differences in the true average spreading rates between brands. 12.
