Problem 70GP
Two objects at the same initial temperature absorb equal amounts of heat. 1 f the final temperature of the objects is different, it may be because they differ in which of the following
properties: mass; coefficient of expansion; thermal conductivity; specific heal?
ANSWER:
Solution 70GP
Step 1 of 3
Background of the Problem:
It is given that there are two objects which were initially at the same temperature. Under this condition, both these objects are supplied with heat and they both absorb the same amount of heat. It was observed that the final temperature of these objects are different. The problem here is we are not sure which of the following parameters got changed to cause for a difference in final temperature.
- Mass
- Coefficient of Expansion
- Thermal conductivity
- Specific Heat
