The Figure shows the words SECRET CODE written in different colors. when a cylindrical rod of glass or plastic just above the words,we find that SECRET appears inverted, but CODE does not.

On first sight, word SECRET appears to be inverted, but word CODE appears not to be inverted. But, on deeper inspection we can see that word CODE is inverted just like the word SECRET, but because all of the letters of word CODE have a vertical symmetry, it looks the same when inverted.
